Why I started Nominal
Before Nominal, I spent three years at an agency focused on personal lines. I kept gravitating toward commercial accounts, especially the businesses other agents called hard to place.
So in 2018 I took a chance on myself and started my own agency, built around the relationship and the right coverage, not just the lowest price. Today that means dealers, NEMT operators, and truckers who want an agent who actually knows their business.

It means an appropriate price, not a cheap one. The price should fit the coverage and the relationship behind it. That is why we explain what you are paying for.
Do you work with new dealers, new authorities, and NEMT startups?
Yes. New ventures are a core part of our work, not something we turn away. That includes first-time dealers getting licensed and bonded, new trucking authorities, and NEMT startups.
What is garage liability?

What is a dealer bond, and can I get it with my insurance?
A dealer bond is the surety bond your state requires for your dealer license. Dealers can get their garage coverage and their license bond from the same agency, which is us.
